The Feedback Loop

Welcome to “The Feedback Loop,” a Laugh-and-Learn Workplace Comedy Series

Let’s face it, giving and receiving meaningful feedback is hard. But learning how to do it by applying the principles of Radical Candor — Care Personally and Challenge Directly — doesn’t have to be a bore or a chore. Welcome to The Feedback Loop, a laugh-and-learn comedic adventure following two fearless leaders stuck in a cycle of communication chaos (think Groundhog Day meets The Office).

After unsuccessfully trying to escape their office building, the pair realize the only way to stop repeating the same terrible day at work is to act less like Michael Scott and more like Kim Scott by applying the principles of Radical Candor.

Starring David Alan Grier, written by comedy writers from The Second City and packed with fun and effective ways to practice Radical Candor, The Feedback Loop  is a one-of-a-kind, laugh-and-learn workplace training you’ll actually look forward to. Each episode focuses on a specific skill learners will need to practice Radical Candor. Viewers will learn now to Care Personally and Challenge Directly, Solicit Feedback, Give Praise, Give Criticism and Gauge Feedback.

You’ll meet Elmer, the boss who wants everyone to practice Radical Candor; Sarah, an executive who is very busy and very important with bandwidth issues; Robert, a team leader who fears giving feedback because he wants everyone to like him; Greta, a steadfast employee who wants to love the work she’s doing and the people she works with (but they don’t make it easy); Dale, a Gen Z superstar who wishes Sarah would update her phone already; Taylor, an influencer who has her finger on the pulse of everything except her own performance; Curtis, a disengaged employee who pushes his work off on others so he can spend more time baking; and Svorn, a time traveling wood nymph from Sweden.

Improvising Radical Candor is a co-production of Radical Candor, LLC and Second City Works. By exercising Radical Candor through improvisation, teams learn the art of giving and receiving feedback while developing core improv fundamentals that emphasize skills like active listening, staying present and being others-focused.

A professional writer, editor, storyteller and content strategist with more than 15 years of experience, Brandi Neal is the director of content creation and marketing and the podcast producer for Radical Candor. Some of the stranger things she has done include walking on fire (twice), hiking to the top of an active volcano in the middle of the night, hanging from the wing of an airplane (and letting go) and participating in an impala dung-spitting contest, which is just as gross as it sounds. In a movie of her life, she wants to be played by Stana Katic.
